Gartside slammed by Sam

Newcastle United boss Sam Allardyce talked tough after seeing his new side romp to a 3-1 victory over his former club, Bolton Wanderers, on the opening day of the new season.
The Magpies manager was clearly annoyed by comments made by Trotters chairman Phil Gartside, who reportedly said that fans would be bored by Allardyce's side.
"The Bolton chairman has been saying a lot about me and I am very disappointed with the comments he has made," Allardyce fumed.
"But actions speak louder than words, we played them off the park and won the game. That answers everything for me.
"I would rather look forward than back. I have moved on and left Bolton in the best state it has ever been in.
"I do not understand his thinking. He believes I have done certain things which I have not. I have given them a great platform, so I do not know why he is so critical of me.
"It has been a great day for me, bringing my side back to my old club.
"You hope your players produce a committed performance, not just as individuals but as a team. That happened in the first 45 minutes and we killed the game stone dead."
