France send for Anelka

Bolton Wanderers striker Nicolas Anelka has been called up to the France squad for the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Scotland and the Faroe Islands.
The 27-year-old received the call because of injury doubts about Sidney Govou and Louis Saha.
Anelka, who is still to score a Premiership goal for Bolton since his £8million summer switch from Fenerbahce, will link up with Raymond Domenech's squad at their training camp in Clairefontaine on Thursday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Trotters defender Tal Ben-Haim is likely to miss Israel's qualifier against Russia on Saturday because of the knee injury he suffered during last weekend's 2-0 win against Liverpool.
