Evans set to lead Bolton at Sunderland as Coyle switch remains in limbo

Bolton caretaker manager Chris Evans looks set to be in charge for Saturday's trip to Sunderland as the club continue to try and broker a compensation deal with Burnley for manager Owen Coyle. Coyle has expressed a desrire to leave Turf Moor and was tipped to be installed as the new Bolton manager in time for the Barclays Premier League clash. However Evans, who is scheduled to host a pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of the visit to the Stadium of Light, will be given the task of making it two wins in as many games, following Bolton's 4-0 victory against Lincoln City in the FA Cup last weekend.
