Bolton Wanderers' record signing Johan Elmander is close to a return to action, following several weeks out of action with a hamstring injury.
The 27-year-old Sweden international has not featured since the 1-0 defeat at Newcastle United on August 23, but is poised to return for the Trotters as early as this weekend.
Manager Gary Megson told the club's official website: "Whether the Arsenal game comes too soon or not we will have to see after he has had a full week's training.
"From his point of view he is getting a lot closer. We brought him in for certain reasons, not just his goals, although we expect him to get goals.
"It's his work-rate, getting hold of the ball. The game he played against Stoke, our stats were apparently the highest they have been in seven years for a centre-forward getting hold of the ball. Any side is going to miss that.
"Kevin Davies has gone up front since then and he has done really well. He has been our best player this season on a consistent basis.
"It would be great to have Johan back in the team with Kevin also in there. Hopefully that is the case."
