    Davies signs Trotters deal

    21 Jan 2007 - 10:52:21

Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies has finally put pen to paper on a new contract to extend his stay with the Trotters to the summer of 2010.

The 29-year-old frontman was due to fall out of contract at the end of the season, but Bolton boss Sam Allardyce was always confident that Davies would pledge his long-term future to the club.

He told the club's official website: "Kevin is crucial to the ongoing success we have at this football club and I'm thrilled that he has committed his future to us."

Davies himself added: "I'm delighted everything is sorted now.

"The future is very promising for this football club and I'm happy that I can be part of it."

Davies joined Bolton in the summer of 2003 and has since notched 34 goals in 154 appearances in all competitions for the club.
