Davies back to boost Bolton

Davies back to boost Bolton

Bolton Wanderers' bid to avoid relegation could be boosted by the return of Kevin Davies for this weekend's vital clash with Sunderland.

The former Chesterfield and Blackburn striker has been suspended for the last two matches after picking up his tenth yellow card of the season in the victory against West ham earlier this month.

Davies also broke his hand during that game and there were fears that he would not return to action this season.

However, the forward told the club's official website: "I've had a cast moulded and I'll try that, but I'll be up for it anyway. I'll play."

Wanderers manager Gary Megson added: "Davo will be back. He's free from suspension and he'll play. He'll be fine."

Bolton have given themselves a chance of beating the drop after taking seven points from their last three matches.
