Coyle on course to land Dindane

18 May 2010 - 12:54:17

Bolton Wanderers appear to have won the race to sign Lens striker Aruna Dindane who has spent this season on loan at Portsmouth.

The Ivory Coast international, whose loan spell at Fratton Park expired after the FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea, is expected to move to the Reebok Stadium in a £2.5million switch.

Dindane has also been linked with Panathinaikos and Blackburn Rovers this month but Owen Coyle now appears to have won the race to land the forward's signature.

The 29-year-old scored ten goals in 24 matches this season, even though Pompey eventually finished bottom of the Premier League table.

It has been an impressive return for Dindane as he missed almost the whole of the 2008-09 season with a cruciate ligament injury.

Portsmouth had been given the chance to sign the forward for £4million on a permanent basis but their financial problems ended that possibility.
