Bolton Wanderers are reportedly keen to speak to former Fulham boss Chris Coleman about their vacant managerial position.
The former Wales international defender is currently in charge of Spanish second division outfit Real Sociedad, but is rumoured to be topping the Trotters' list of candidates to succeed Sammy Lee.
Coleman's advisor, Alan Smith, told The Times: "Bolton have asked Real Sociedad for permission to speak to Chris.
"It's a very interesting proposition for him to return to the Premier League, but at the same time he is happy in Spain. We have already turned down an inquiry from another English club."
Coleman had earlier played down the Bolton link, as he prepares his side for the clash with Sporting Gijon.
He added: "England is another country. Only for me, this weekend.
"There's pressure at every club and every job, outside of football in normal jobs, everybody has pressure.
"For me in football, I ask the players always to express yourself, work hard, play good football and express yourself.
"We all know that in the background there is always one word - promotion. I don't need to say that to the players, they know. We don't talk about it in training, they know, it's obvious."
