Cahill rues Trotters absence
08 Sep 2008 - 08:49:41
Bolton Wanderers centre-back Gary Cahill is frustrated at having to wait for a return to action, as he completes a three-match suspension.
The 22-year-old is currently sidelined by a ban, having been sent off in a Carling Cup tie against Northampton Town.
Cahill will be back in contention to face Manchester United towards the end of September, but will have to watch the upcoming clashes with Fulham and Arsenal.
He told the Manchester Evening News: "I was looking forward to the break, but I'm not any more. I want the games to pass so I can get back playing.
"It's been horrible. The worst time for me was the two days after the incident, because I hadn't been sent off in domestic football before, so it was hard to deal with.
"I just kept replaying it in my head, why I did it and what I could have done better.
"It's sunk in now and at the end of the day it's something I've got to deal with and get over."
