Bolton set to to land Real duo
30 Jun 2010 - 10:40:20
Bolton Wanderers remain in pole position to sign Real Madrid duo Marcos Alonso and Rodrigo Moreno.
Benfica have also registered their interest in the two youngsters who are believed to be valued in the region of £5million.
Trotters chairman Phil Gartside has already met Real's sporting director Jorge Valdano at the Bernabeu as he steps up his bid to snare the Spain Under-21 internationals.
Owen Coyle has already signed Martin Petrov from Manchester City but told the Bolton News: "I've spoken about one or two people, so we're just waiting for things to click into place.
"We're back on Thursday and a lot of other clubs come back around the same time, so things can move pretty quickly."
Meanwhile, Coyle has invited Bolivian striker Gilbert Alvarez for a trial with the club.
The 18-year-old will join the rest of the Bolton squad for next month's pre-season tour of the USA and could play in some of the warm-up games.
Alvarez plays for Callejas in his homeland and has already represented his country at international level.
