Bolton miss out on Sorin

Bolton Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce has admitted defeat in his bid to sign Argentina captain Juan Pablo Sorin.
The full-back is keen to secure a move to the Premiership after being told he has no future at Villarreal, and travelled to Bolton for talks last week.
However, the 30-year-old decided against accepting Wanderers' offer and will instead wait to see who else comes in for him before the transfer window closes.
"We were disappointed missing out on the signing of Juan Pablo Sorin," Allardyce told the club's official website.
"He had a look around the club and it is a great shame that we failed to acquire such a fantastic player who has played in the World Cup."
