Bolton look to Wilhelmsson

Bolton Wanderers are in the hunt for Christian Wilhelmsson, according to the Sweden international's agent.

The 27-year-old midfielder has been mentioned as a possible transfer target for several Premier League clubs this summer including Tottenham, Middlesbrough and Manchester City.

But Bolton have now been confirmed as serious contenders to land the Nantes winger, who spent the latter part of last season on loan in Italy with AS Roma.

Wilhelmsson would cost the Trotters around £2.5million.

"Bolton are one of several clubs that are interested," his agent Fabio Alho told The Sun.

"I can't say any more before the clubs have reached a deal."
