Bolton Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce has moved to strengthen his midfield by signing Iran international Andranik Teimourian from Abu Moslem.
The 23-year-old put pen to paper on a two-year contract at the Reebok Stadium after his application for a work permit was approved.
Allardyce told the club's official website: "Andranik is a talented player and somebody who I believe will be able to adapt to the tough demands of the Barclays Premiership.
"He impressed a lot of people during the World Cup and I am delighted that we have beaten off a lot of competition to get his signature."
Teimourian has won 11 international caps and played in all three of Iran's matches at the World Cup finals.
