Ben Haim to stay put
24 Jan 2007 - 16:24:42
Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce says there is no chance of central defender Tal Ben Haim leaving the club in the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old Israel international is out of contract at the end of the season and has rejected the offer of a new deal with the Totters.
However, Allardyce is not about to cash in on Ben Haim, despite talk of interest in the player from Premiership champions Chelsea.
He told the Bolton News: "There has never really been an offer on the table.
"There's been a lot of discussions, but never really an offer to consider accepting. There won't be anyone going out now."
West Ham United and Portsmouth had also been credited with an interest in Ben Haim, who joined Wanderers in the summer of 2004 from Maccabi Tel Aviv.
