Ben Haim in Hammers link

Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed that West Ham United are interested in signing Israeli defender Tal Ben Haim. The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Reebok Stadium in this month's transfer window and is out of contract at the end of the season. Chelsea and Portsmouth have been linked with the player, but Allardyce told the Bolton News: "We've had an enquiry from West Ham, but that's all. "The last thing we want is somebody going out. "If we can get one or more in, that would be fantastic. In the position we're in, we don't want to get too distracted by all the media speculation that revolves around the January transfer window." Ben Haim has made 98 appearances for the Trotters since moving to Bolton from Maccabi Tel Aviv in July 2004.
