Anelka flattered by interest
29 Nov 2007 - 07:10:01
Bolton Wanderers striker Nicolas Anelka has admitted he is flattered by reports linking him with a host of Premier League clubs.
The 28-year-old France international is believed to be wanted by Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City after scoring seven goals in only 11 Premier League appearances for Bolton this season.
Trotters boss Gary Megson has admitted he could lose his prime asset in the January transfer window and Anelka told his official website: "As in the window this summer, there is a lot of speculation. No offer has been made yet.
"When this happens, I will talk publicly but, for the moment, I can confirm that there is nothing at all.
"I feel very flattered by these comments, but I keep my feet on the ground. Nothing has been communicated to me, so for me there's nothing.
"I feel well in Bolton but, as I have said before, I want to evolve at a big club that seeks to be in the Champions League. Now, if nothing happens, I would be glad to stay."
