Bolton Wanderers' record £8million signing Nicolas Anelka has denied suggestions that he is a troublemaker. The 27-year-old France international has picked up a reputation of being hard to handle over the years, but Anelka says he just wants to concentrate on being a success with the Trotters, having joined from Fenerbahce. He told the Manchester Evening News: "To say I am a bad boy then people do not know me. When I was in Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester, I did good things. "I just want to play football, that's it. I just have to speak on the pitch. "I had a great time in Turkey but everywhere you go everyone is watching the Premier League. "I could have gone to France or Germany but I wanted to come here to England. "Of course there is pressure on me, but all strikers are there to score goals. I just want to do my best for Bolton."
