Bolton Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce has told his players to buck their ideas up after their 1-0 defeat at Everton.
Allardyce is concerned after a run of five games without a win in all competitions and has called for a renewed effort from the Trotters.
He told the Evening News: "We've slightly lost the desire or the determination to punish the opposition when we are in complete control.
"You have to take the opportunities when they come around and if you don't you only need to give the opposition one sniff.
"We've just not done the right part at the right time in killing Everton off when we were in complete control.
"We totally dominated the game for 90 per cent of it. We've completely outplayed Everton and failed to do the most important part, converting the opportunities into goals when they presented themselves.
"It started in the first minute and went all the way through to the last without us showing the quality Mikel Arteta showed.
"I would have been absolutely disappointed and gutted at drawing 0-0 and I'm even more disappointed having lost a game we should have won."
