Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside has laughed off the latest speculation linking Sam Allardyce with a move to Sunderland.
The Trotters boss was rumoured to have held talks with Sunderland during the summer and reports in Saturday's tabloids again suggested he was a target for the struggling Championship side.
Gartside told Radio Manchester: "Sam will not be going to Sunderland. I did not even bother ringing him about it (the speculation). It is just wasting his time and my time."
Bolton shrugged off the reports to record an impressive 2-0 victory against Tottenham on the opening day of the Premiership season.
