Alexander awarded Clarets armband

Burnley manager Brian Laws has appointed veteran midfielder Graham Alexander as the club's new captain.The 38-year-old has taken the armband following the departure of former skipper Steven Caldwell at the end of last season.Laws said: "Graham is the consummate professional who has been instrumental in the success that this club has seen in the past few seasons, so it was an easy choice."
