    Al-Habsi rules out Bolton exit

    11 Jul 2008 - 08:58:28

Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi is keen to stay at the Reebok Stadium even though first-choice shot-stopper Jussi Jaaskelainen has penned a new four-year contract with club.

The 26-year-old Oman international started the final ten games of last season when Jaaskelainen was injured but had been linked with moves to Bayern Munich, Galatasaray and Hull City earlier this summer.

However, Al-Habsi said: "I still have one year left on my contract at Bolton and I will stay with the team.

"I've heard that Jussi has signed a new contract but this means nothing as I'll stay with the team.

"Everything is okay now and I'm enjoying life here especially as my wife gave birth to a girl six months ago. Things were great for me at Bolton and hopefully next year will be even better."

Al-Habsi joined Bolton in January 2006 but has spent most of his time with the Trotters on the substitute's bench.
