World Cup 2010: John Terry punched me deliberately claims Croatia's Ivan Klasnic
The Bolton forward, who Terry claims spat in his direction after England's 5-1 mauling of Slaven Bilic's side to secure a place at the finals in South Africa next summer, came on with 20 minutes to play and has responded to the Chelsea defender's accusations by saying he was deliberately punched in the kidneys.
Klasnic underwent a double kidney transplant in 2007 and insists Terry targeted the area in a bid to cause damage.
"He hit me with a fist exactly in the place where I've been operated," the Croat told the Sun. "I was lucky to be wearing a protective belt. He is the first player who has tried to hit me with a purpose in the kidney. He insulted me first then he hit me.
"And now he has accused me of spitting at him? I didn't do it.
"We spoke after the final whistle and I thought we sorted everything out - but obviously not so."
Bolton manager Gary Megson has also spoken with 29-year-old Klasnic who he signed on loan this summer from Nantes.
Understanding that the situation had been resolved, Megson said: "Ivan told me he has spoken with Terry and they have had a private word and the matter is resolved between them.
"It was private, so I don't know what was said but, as I understand it, it has been sorted."
