The Royals hitman has been a long-term target for Wolves boss Mick McCarthy and it is thought a fee in the region of £6million has been enough to land the Republic of Ireland international. A press conference has been called for 9.30am where it is expected Doyle will be unveiled as the Molineux outfit's latest signing. Wolves were not the only club to come in for Doyle as the 25-year-old also reportedly attracted attention from the likes of Aston Villa, Everton, Sunderland, Bolton and Fulham. The Irish international is a proven goalscorer at Premier League level having hit the net 13 times for the Royals in their inaugural season in the big time. McCarthy has been busy in the transfer market since Wolves' promotion last term but it is the capture of Doyle that will be seen as his biggest coup to date.
