Ward hoping to grab his chance

Danny Ward will be handed a chance to stake his claim for a place in Owen Coyle's first-team plans during Bolton's pre-season tour of the USA.[LNB] The promising young striker spent time at Coventry City and Huddersfield Town last season and is likely to be in demand once again should Wanderers decide to loan him out.[LNB]However, while Coyle is understood to be in the market for more firepower - Bolton currently have just Kevin Davies and Ivan Klasnic on the books as recognised strike options - 19-year-old Ward will be hoping to make a favourable impression during their tour Stateside.[LNB]It is understood Wanderers have been contacted by a handful of League One and Two clubs over loan deals for many of their young starlets, including Ward, Tom Eaves and Michael O'Halloran.[LNB]But Coyle is willing to check out each one of them in the club's eight pre-season friendlies, which commence on Thursday July 14, with a game against FC Tampa Bay.[LNB]Wanderers play Orlando SC on July 17 before contesting the Charities Cup against MLS side Houston Dynamo on July 20
