Miguel Veloso has indicated that it is up to Sporting Lisbon whether he leaves the club this summer. The Portuguese midfielder has been the subject of heavy criticism from some of his team-mates for going public over his wish to move on. Pereirinha and Fabio Rochemback have even gone as far as to blame Veloso's comments for the club's lack of silverware this season. Sporting coach Paulo Bento admitted on Sunday that Veloso might leave the Estadio Jose Alvalade and the player has now hinted that his future is in the hands of the club. "If the coach said that I am up for sale, that is his choice, not mine," the 23-year-old told the Portuguese press. "He is the coach and the one in charge." Veloso noted that he does not understand all the commotion surrounding his quotes, insisting that others have done the same in the past. "I think what has been said of me is not correct, maybe they wanted to make me a scapegoat. "A lot of people have said the same and I only gave my opinion that I have the dream of playing abroad. "I do not regret anything of what I said," Veloso's agent Paulo Barbosa stated last week that he had not been placed on the transfer list and that his future would not be decided until after this summer's presidential elections. He has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League and reports in the English press on Friday suggested Bolton could be preparing a bid.
