Trotters undone by Eaves hat-trick

First-half substitute Tom Eaves scored a hat-trick as Bolton's unbeaten pre-season record ended with a 3-0 defeat at Oldham on Wednesday night.[LNB] Owen Coyle sent out a virtual full-strength side for the pre-season friendly clash at Boundary Park but the Trotters were well beaten.[LNB]Eaves, who replaced Warren Feeney when the Northern Ireland international picked up an injury, gave Oldham side a 24th-minute lead, doubled the lead four minutes before the break and completed his hat-trick in the 55th minute.[LNB]Martin Petrov went closest to scoring an equaliser for Bolton when he fired against the bar.[LNB]
