Trotters claim late win

Bolton snatched their first points of the season after Gary Cahill netted a controversial winner a minute from time in the 3-2 win over Portsmouth.[LNB] Tamir Cohen fired the Trotters ahead after 13 minutes, only for Younes Kaboul to head Portsmouth level after 22 minutes. But a dubious Matthew Taylor penalty put Bolton back in front six minutes before the break.[LNB] Kevin-Prince Boateng struck Pompey's equaliser on his debut, but Cahill scored at the death to leave the home side without a point from five games.[LNB] Cohen made no mistake after being sent clean through by Gretar Rafn Steinsson's pass from the right corner of the box, and rifled the ball into the top corner. [LNB] Portsmouth levelled when Jamie O'Hara's corner from the right was headed beyond Jussi Jaaskelainen by Kaboul. [LNB] Kaboul should have scored again three minutes later but headed wide.[LNB] But the home crowd were left fuming when referee Chris Foy gave Bolton a penalty. Trotters captain Kevin Davies raced into the Portsmouth area and momentum carried him into Tal Ben-Haim. [LNB] Foy pointed to the spot and Taylor sent David James the wrong way, scoring to the goalkeeper's right. [LNB] But the locals were celebrating again after 63 minutes. O'Hara had a shot blocked, but Boateng pounced on the rebound and sidefooted home from 10 yards. [LNB] It was to be Bolton though who had the final say and they left Portsmouth bottom of the table when Cahill headed into the bottom right corner.
