Bolton Wanderers have confirmed Matt Taylor has signed a contract extension with the club. Taylor has prolonged his previous terms by a year to ensure he is committed to the Reebok Stadium until the summer of 2012. The 27-year-old midfielder joined Bolton from Portsmouth in January 2008 and has netted 13 goals since the switch. Trotters manager Gary Megson told the club's official website: "Matt is a hard working player who always gives his all. "He scored 10 goals for us last season and is a big influence with his set-pieces and work-rate. "He had a key role to play last season and will have again this season. He is another member of the squad who leads by example. "He and his family are settled here and I'm sure he can go from strength to strength at the club." Taylor follows striker Kevin Davies and defender Gary Cahill in recently signing new contracts with Bolton.
