STOKE v Bolton: Delap set to be thrown straight back in

03 March 2009 14:47
Long-throw specialist Rory Delap has completed a three-match ban and is expected to be recalled to Stoke City's starting line-up at home to Bolton. Danny Pugh could be the man to make way, while manager Tony Pulis has other selection headaches after substitutes Ricardo Fuller and Glenn Whelan starred in Saturday's heroic draw at Aston Villa.   Defender Abdoulaye Faye missed the game at Villa Park because of a lower back strain and Pulis will monitor his condition closely before deciding whether to recall him in place of Ibrahima Sonko.   Goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen is expected to be fit after a head injury forced his half-time withdrawal on Saturday.   Team (from): Sorensen, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Sonko, Abdoulaye Faye, Higginbotham, Pugh, Lawrence, Diao, Amdy Faye, Whelan, Delap, Cresswell, Beattie, Sidibe, Fuller, Simonsen, Cort, Kelly, Camara, Tonge, Griffin, Kitson, Olofinjana.
