Stoke 1 Bolton 2: Hero Matt Taylor finally earns top marks after trying too hard to impress

Rejuvenated Matthew Taylor conjured two late goals in three minutes to halt Bolton's slide and virtually ensure top-flight football at the Reebok for another year.[LNB]But Stoke striker Tuncay was jeered by the club's fans, then criticised by his manager for disappearing down the tunnel when substituted in the second half.[LNB]Bolton's victory was a fitting reward for Taylor and manager Owen Coyle, who said his matchwinner had 'tried too hard to impress' in the past.[LNB] Bolton celebrate[LNB] [LNB]Bolton had lost their last four games and it had looked as though they might be dragged into a relegation dogfight.[LNB]But substitute Vladimir Weiss twice created chances for Taylor to turn this game on its head.[LNB] Poacher: Taylor prods the ball beyond Stoke goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen[LNB] [LNB]First the Slovakian's theatrical dive won a free-kick just outside the area.
