Steinsson wants signings

Bolton Wanderers full-back Gretar Steinsson believes manager Gary Megson needs to bolster his squad this summer. The Trotters' top-flight status is secure for another season with the team seven points clear of the drop zone with just one Premier League game remaining. However, the Icelandic full-back believes increasing the number of options for Megson is the way forward. Steinsson believes that if Bolton can retain their key players and Megson has money to spend, the 2009/10 season could be an interesting campaign for Wanderers. "We need to strengthen our squad, that is for sure," stated Steinsson. "We have a really good squad, we have some young players and we get along really well and the atmosphere in the dressing room is fantastic. "I don't want that broken up but we need players because we have a small squad and have almost been using the same 11 all season. "We need players in and we don't want any players out - simple. "We can't be going another season with almost the same team every weekend so we need to strengthen if we are to push on and do good things in the Premier League "The manager knows it and wants it and it will be interesting to see what happens. "Now we just have to see where we finish and how much money we have to spend in the summer."
