Bolton full-back Sam Ricketts is not taking his status as a Barclays Premier League regular for granted.[LNB]The 27-year-old worked his way through non-league and the lower divisions before finally joining football's elite with Hull last season. Now having moved along the M62 for his second season in the top flight, he faces an early return to the KC Stadium with Bolton.[LNB]He told Press Association Sport: "I appreciate things more because of my background. In non-league you have to muck in and get on with it. So when someone does something for you, it is nice."[LNB]Wales full-back Ricketts has fond memories of his time working with manager Phil Brown.[LNB]He said: "I had three progressive years at the club and they were thoroughly enjoyable. The first year we just stayed up, the second year we got promoted and last year we managed to stay in the Premier League.[LNB]"Hull grew a lot under the manager and I felt I improved with every season. But you only enjoy going back to your old club if you win. If you lose it is the worst place to be."
