Portsmouth administrator insists he can challenge nine-point deduction

Portsmouth are to explore their right to challenge the nine point deduction imposed upon them by the Premier League.[LNB] The south coast side entered administration on Friday with debts of around £78million and triggered the nine point penalty. He said: 'The assumption that there is an automatic deduction of points has never been tested before but we will do our best to avoid a deduction.
