Portsmouth have rejected a bid for midfielder Sean Davis from an unnamed Premier League club, thought to be Bolton.[LNB] Boss Tony Adams says he 'would be mad' to let the 29-year-old leave as the club face a relegation battle.[LNB]Pompey sit just one point outside the drop zone after six losses in the last seven games, including a 3-1 reverse at Fulham on Saturday.[LNB]Adams told the club's official website: "Sean was fantastic for us against Fulham. His commitment and work rate were magnificent.[LNB]"He's done great for this club and I would be mad to let him go somewhere else.[LNB]No thanks"I can understand why other clubs would be interested in Sean but we need him right now, so it's thanks but no thanks.[LNB]"He's happy here and I know that he'll fight and give everything for Pompey from now until the end of the season.[LNB]"We've offered him a three-and-a-half-year deal and we're hopeful that he'll sign that.[LNB]"I'd be delighted if he committed his future to this club because he's a player that you can always rely on to give his all." [LNB]Davis joined Pompey from Tottenham in January 2006 and has since made 103 appearances for the club, including 29 so far season.[LNB]
