Owen Coyle's FA Cup masterstroke gives Bolton the edge - Paul Robinson
Owen Coyle gave his Bolton players a glimpse of Wembley this week - and Paul Robinson says that tactic could prove to be a masterstroke by the manager. [LNB]Robinson, 32, feels the team will now be relaxed and ready to go when they walk out to face Stoke in the FA Cup semi-final at the national stadium. [LNB]The former West Brom and Watford full-back said after a visit to the stadium this week: 'You can see the manager's point of view in taking us to Wembley. [LNB] Daunting: But Coyle has taken his players for a visit to Wembley to help them relax ahead of the semi-final[LNB]'There are a lot of young players in our team who are not used to the surroundings and what it is like.[LNB] 'It was a great opportunity for them to go with their cameras and take their pictures as well as see a fantastic stadium and take it all in.'[LNB] Robinson has fallen twice at the semi-final hurdle of the competition, first with Watford in 2003 when they lost to Southampton. Then in 2008 he was part of the West Brom side that were beaten by eventual winners Portsmouth. [LNB]Robinson said: 'I hope the phrase third time lucky rings true with me. The FA Cup is very special. [LNB]'It is the best cup in the world and one you want to win. Unfortunately for me it has ended twice at the semi-final stage, so I will be doing my best to push us further.'[LNB] Mastermind: Coyle has taken Bolton to the verge of an FA Cup final appearance[LNB] Robinson hopes the excitement of the Stoke showdown is not too much for his wife Caroline. She is due to give birth to their fourth child in five weeks at the end of May. [LNB]Robinson said: 'My best hope given my wife's situation is we don't go into extra time and penalties! [LNB]'Luckily for me she will have family are all around her, so she will be in good hands. Fingers crossed the baby won't come early.'[LNB] Bolton go into the match on the back of a thumping home victory against West Ham and Robinson credits Coyle for changing the mentality of the players. [LNB]Coyle arrived in January last year from Burnley and kept the club in the top flight when they were favourites to be relegated. This season they have kicked on under the Glasgow-born boss and lie eighth in the table, winning plaudits for their easy-on-the-eye style of play. [LNB] Smells like team spirit: Bolton are in form and playing exciting football under Coyle[LNB]Robinson said: 'Owen Coyle has brought a togetherness back. He has made the players confident in their own ability. [LNB]'It has shown throughout the season because you can see how far we have come. We have all stuck together. We are in a good moment. It has been a great season so far. We have to keep going, that's the trick.'[LNB] Coyle will make one enforced change as on-loan striker Daniel Sturridge is ineligible. Rodrigo and Ivan Klasnic are among the contenders to replace Sturridge, who scored a brace against West Ham.
