Owen Coyle will have money to spend insists Bolton chairman Phil Gartside

Bolton chairman Phil Gartside has promised Owen Coyle funds in the transfer window if he wants to bolster his squad.   [LNB]Coyle was officially unveiled as the club's new manager at the Reebok Stadium on Monday after arriving from Lancashire rivals Burnley.   [LNB]Bolton find themselves in the relegation zone and Gartside has promised to give Coyle a helping hand if needed.   [LNB] Struggling: Bolton Wanderers are languishing in 18th place in the Premier League [LNB]Gartside said: 'We have never not backed a manager in the transferwindow. [LNB]'It was special to me at that time not just as a director but as a supporter. We had some great cup nights and promotions.   [LNB]'I think the fans will embrace Owen for what he is; he is a verybubbly character, he is infectious. He likes what he sees here and thatis good enough for me.   [LNB]'We hit it off right away and could have finished (our discussions)in five minutes. We did not have anyone else on the list.   [LNB]'This was the only guy we wanted. You have to remember I recommended him to Burnley in the first place.'[LNB]Coyle, who will take the team for the first time on Sunday againstArsenal, insists his decision to turn down Celtic in the summer isproof he has not made the move to secure a bigger salary.  [LNB] Bolton old boy: Owen Coyle spent two seasons at the Reebok Stadium [LNB][LNB] 'I've never been motivated by money in my life' he said. 'If it wasfinance I would have taken the job at Celtic in the summer. I wantto be involved at the highest level and the highest level in worldfootball is the Premier League.   [LNB]'There's no doubt about it, the best individual players in worldfootball operate in the Premier League. They offered me the job and I turned it down to stay atBurnley. I think that puts to bed anything about finances.'   [LNB]Coyle added: 'If you look at the infrastructure of the club(Bolton), the academy, the training centre, everything is geared fortop-flight football and my job as manager is to make sure thathappens.  [LNB] 'I must say, Burnley have still got a Premier League team as well.We really galvanised the club and took them to a level that is alwaysgoing to be difficult.   [LNB]'On balance I had to look at if we'd achieved survival, come thesummer is there going to be that investment? I wasn't sure there was.In a transitional period I was trying to move things along quicker thanfinances would dictate.'
