olton manager Owen Coyle has confirmed Gavin McCann will not be offered a new deal as he begins his plans for next season.[LNB] McCann's current deal expires in the summer and the former Everton and Sunderland man will not be offered an extension at the present moment.[LNB]The 32-year-old is currently recovering from a knee injury which has sidelined him since January and Owen Coyle will give him a chance to prove he deserves a new deal once he returns to fitness.[LNB]"I have spoken to Gavin and said because of the nature of that injury I am not in the position to offer him a new contract," Coyle told the Bolton News.[LNB]"What I will do, and in fairness to him he's been a very good player and a great lad, is when he is fit I'll give him an opportunity, it might be a month, to go and earn one.[LNB]"We're not in an ideal position, because I've only got one player out of contract and there will be some players surplus to requirements.[LNB]"I want my own type of players in and add my own flavour."
