Ngog targets return

David Ngog has set his sights on a return to action in Bolton's next Championship match against Watford. Ngog has been hampered by injuries throughout the summer and the early part of the season, but the striker has stepped up his fitness over recent weeks and has resumed first-team training.

"It's been really enjoyable to go back on the pitch. I'm really looking forward to the new season now," he told the club's official website. "I've had a back injury which I got when I returned for pre-season. It has kept me out for quite a few weeks but I've worked really well with the physio, staff and chiropractor and now I'm feeling fit.

"With this kind of injury I have had to be careful. Whatever exercise you do, you use your back, whether it be running or any sessions in the gym. "Now I am back in full training with the first team. I'm getting closer to 100 per cent and getting my touch and sharpness back. If I get a chance to help the team, I will look to take it."
