Ngog eyes top-flight return

Bolton Wanderers striker David Ngog is targeting promotion back to the Premier League as he prepares to make his comeback from injury.

The Frenchman has been plagued with injury problems throughout the summer, most recently suffering a back complaint.

But Ngog could be in contention for Bolton's game against Watford on Saturday and the 23-year-old says Owen Coyle's side have what it takes to secure an immediate return to the top flight. "No game is easy but we know we have to try and get results," Ngog told the Bolton News.

"My target, like everyone's, is to get promoted. We have the potential to do it.

"There are a few other teams involved as well but our squad is as good as anyone's. England Under 21 international Marvin Sordell could also be available at club level as the Trotters host the Hornets.
