Muamba wants Trotters improvement

Despite a drop in form, Muamba has been selected for this month's European Under-21 Championships in Sweden. And speaking ahead of Monday's friendly against Azerbaijan at Milton Keynes, Muamba told the Manchester Evening News: "Last season was very up and down for me. "I'm sure people will point out that I have not hit the kind of form I showed in the opening game of the season. "A lot of it is down to self-belief. I am very critical of myself but I am determined to learn from my first season here and come back fresher, stronger and better in pre-season. "I have come through a lot in my life and all the things I have been through this season are just part of the game. "Criticism is part of it. You just have to take it on the chin and move on. "So long as I stay true to myself and work hard, I am sure I can come back next year and give a better account of myself. I feel I owe everyone that. "I want to come back stronger because I want to be a part of this team."
