Megson wants Nolan return

// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Bolton boss Gary Megson has confirmed that the club has approached Newcastle in a bid to re-sign Kevin Nolan.[LNB] Nolan left the Reebok Stadium for £4million in January but was unable to help the Magpies avoid relegation from the Premier League last season, and his former employers are keen to bring him back to the top flight.[LNB]The 27-year-old was a fans favourite at Bolton, and Megson admitted that he had been reluctant to let him move to St. James' Park.[LNB]"I didn't particularly want him to go in the first place," he said.[LNB]"It's just an enquiry, we've asked someone to find out if Newcastle would be interested in loaning Kevin back to the football club and we haven't had a response as yet.[LNB]"We'll see, because we were told that Newcastle needed to move one or two players about due to the fact they had been relegated."[LNB]QualityNolan scored his first goal for the Magpies in their 2-0 win at Crystal Palace last Saturday and it is not known whether he would favour a return to his old stomping ground.[LNB]But with Bolton struggling to click into gear so far this campaign, Megson is keen to capture Nolan's signature and help him rediscover his old form.[LNB]"I have a lot of time for Kevin and I think he's got some great qualities," he added.[LNB]"I do believe he took his foot off the gas a little bit for a few years, but I also believe that he can get back to those standards he was showing a few years ago.[LNB]"He was important to the football club and he's a good lad, he gives it everything he's got. In the dressing room he's a great leader."[LNB]
