Megson slams Chelsea conduct

Bolton manager Gary Megson has criticised the behaviour of Chelsea players after their Champions League semi-final exit to Barcelona at Stamford Bridge last night.[LNB]Didier Drogba and Michael Ballack both angrily confronted referee Tom Henning Ovrebo after the 1-1 draw which put the Catalans into the final on away goals.[LNB]The incidents were played out in the full glare of live television, which also picked up Drogba swearing into the camera, and Megson said there was no place for such behaviour.[LNB]"I can fully understand the Chelsea players being as irate as they were, being so close to a Champions League final yet finishing so far away from it," he said. "But I thought the scenes did not reflect well on the game we have - not so much Chelsea and the players involved but football.[LNB]"Whether the referee has had a good, bad or indifferent game you can't behave like that. Football does not intend to hold its players up as role models, people tend to do that for them, but just in normal behaviour that is not on.[LNB]"You can come out with a load of reasons why, although you can never justify it, but it is just not on and I'm sure everyone involved in it will apologise for those things. It does not reflect well on the game itself."
