Megson reveals Davies concern

Manager Gary Megson fears Bolton may become becoming too reliant on striker Kevin Davies. The Wanderers captain produced a typically combative display against Liverpool at the weekend, scoring one and making the other in the 3-2 defeat. But Bolton's tendency to look for Davies with the long ball is causing some concern and manager Megson does not want his side to become predictable. "Davo has a lot of qualities and is a very strong, powerful lad," said Megson. "If we play to his strength he can give you a great outlet but one of the issues we've got is we're becoming Davo all the time. "When we played at Hull we played some really good stuff, but when we went a goal down against the run of play everything just went to Davo. "We became one-dimensional - we need to mix it up a little it."
