Megson: Results are the priority

Gary Megson insists results must take priority over performances after Bolton sealed their first home win of the season in the Barclays Premier League against Everton on Sunday.[LNB] Wanderers - who have earned rave reviews for their attacking play in recent weeks - were cruising after half an hour as goals from Chung-Yong Lee and Gary Cahill put them into a comfortable two-goal lead. But defensive lapses allowed Everton to draw level through Louis Saha and Marouane Fellaini, before Ivan Klasnic netted the winner for the hosts with three minutes remaining.[LNB] "Quite a few people have been talking about the way we are playing, which is nice, but we want to be winning games," Megson said. [LNB] "They are not particularly interested in Bolton's results but they have seen us on the television when we have played against Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United. [LNB] "We are playing some decent stuff but we have to play decent stuff and win the games. [LNB] "As a manager you always concentrate on your own goals. The ones that we have allowed to go in against us is something that we need to eradicate, and quickly."[LNB] Klasnic came off the bench to score his first goal in English football and Megson was not surprised to see the Croatian striker get off the mark.[LNB] "Ivan has just got one thought in his mind when he's in there," Megson said.[LNB] "He had a shot just before that from about 20 yards when really he should have passed it to Chung-Yong Lee.[LNB] "But you can't criticise forwards for doing that, that is what they are there for and him being that kind of personality was probably a good thing for us because he certainly wasn't looking to pass when the ball dropped to him (for the goal). It was a fantastic strike."
