Megson hails strike duo
Bolton boss Gary Megson has praised the impact of strike duo Kevin Davies and Johan Elmander this season.[LNB] Davies has enjoyed his best ever goalscoring record at Bolton by notching up 11 goals so far this term.[LNB]Megson has been impressed by Davies since he took over the captain's armband following Kevin Nolan's departure to Newcastle during the January transfer window.[LNB]"I have been delighted with Kevin, both since he took over the captaincy and even before that. As a person he was an obvious choice to make captain once Nobby [Nolan] went up to Newcastle," said Megson.[LNB]"He has done brilliantly for this football club and this has been his best season he has ever had."[LNB]PraiseMegson also defended Elmander after the club's record signing came in for criticism for his goalscoring record this term.[LNB]"A little bit seems to be going around regards opinions about Johan Elmander, but we know Johan is the hardest working centre forward in the Premier League in terms of running he puts in, the sprinting he does and the effort he shows in every game," added Megson.[LNB]"I think because of those virtues Kevin Davies is getting a lot more room, Matt Taylor is getting a lot more room and they have had the best goalscoring they have ever had."[LNB]
