Megson hails Lee after win

Gary Megson was full of praise for super substitute Chung-Yong Lee after the winger scored the winning goal in Bolton's 2-1 success at Birmingham. Tamir Cohen gave the visitors the lead before veteran striker Kevin Phillips had looked to have grabbed a late equaliser for Blues six minutes from time only to see Lee go down the other end a minute later and snatch the spoils. The result sees the Trotters jump into 13th place in the table, leapfrogging Saturday's opponents in what was their second successive away win in the Premier League. And after securing back-to-back away wins in the league, Megson told Sky Sports: "I think both were fully deserved, we played well today and I thought we were really worth the result we got." ImprovingMegson was keen to commend Lee for his part in the St Andrews victory adding: "The lad's a good player, he's only 20, and he's getting better. "If he doesn't know his team-mate's first name at least he knows the second - he's starting to integrate and we're really pleased with him." When asked if he was worried if he would ever get the shot away after the South Korean latched onto the rebound from Matt Taylor's free-kick, Megson replied: "No, he's got great ability and because of that coolness and that time he gives himself he stands out." Next up for Bolton is a home clash against Tottenham, who returned to winning ways in the league as they emphatically thumped Burnley 5-0 on Saturday.
