Megson forced to put plans on hold

Wanderers are seven points clear of the relegation zone with four matches remaining but Megson does not feel safe enough to begin preparations for next season.[LNB]Bolton have one of the smallest squads in the top flight and need a number of reinforcements in the summer but no definite decisions will be made until they are sure of another season in the top flight.[LNB]"It's very difficult because you are looking at players and thinking 'We'll go for him - if...'," Megson told the Bolton News.[LNB]"As soon as we get rid of that 'if' we'll be able to put a bit more flesh on the bones."[LNB]Defender Gary Cahill is targeting an unbeaten run in their remaining games against Wigan, Sunderland, Hull and Manchester City.[LNB]Wanderers have been frustratingly inconsistent in the last couple of months with the sequence of results being won-lost-lost-drawn-won-lost-lost-drawn.[LNB]Cahill believes they have to cut out the defeats if they are to finish the campaign on a high.[LNB]"The aim is to go from now until the end of the season without losing a game," he told Wanderers World.[LNB]"From the last four games we have got two at home (against Wigan and Hull) and they are winnable games.[LNB]"The important thing is we don't lose."[LNB][LNB]
