Megson desperate to beat City

Bolton are currently second from bottom in the Premier League, having accrued just 12 points from their opening 14 games.[LNB]Last weekend they sunk below Wolves to 19th after going down 2-1 at Molineux and they are without a win in five league games.[LNB]Criticism of the manager and players has grown, but with two home fixtures coming up in quick succession, Wanderers have an opportunity over the next week to ease some of the pressure.[LNB]The visit of high-flying City - who overcame leaders Chelsea last weekend - will provide a tough test, but Megson is adamant his side must take something from the match.[LNB]"It needs saying - we need a result," Megson said.[LNB]"We are not on the best run we have ever been on by a long stretch, although there are quite a few others in the same boat.[LNB]"The result last week has prompted a great deal of outpouring of things on the outside which we have got to try and make sure don't affect us on the inside.[LNB]"It is a different kind of pressure to what other people face in their lives but from my point of view, it is a job, and it is not going particularly well at the moment.[LNB]"What we have got to do is roll our sleeves up, get on with it and make it go well.[LNB]"There has been other people in this position so far this season that haven't got out of it, but have improved things in the short term.[LNB]"Last week we lost a game of football and there was an outcry about where we went, slipping from third bottom to second bottom.[LNB]"It (the league position) is a concern. We would rather be higher up and saying a couple of wins would get us up into a really healthy position, but we're second bottom.[LNB]"We're not out with the washing and one win will hopefully get us out of the bottom three and give us the opportunity to push on from there."[LNB][LNB]
