Megson - Bolton still in the mix

Gary Megson does not expect 37 points to be enough to keep Bolton Wanderers in the Premier League.[LNB] The Trotters are currently six points outside of the relegation zone with five games left to play, but Megson is not taking safety for granted.[LNB]Reflecting on the late run of form which kept Bolton in the top flight last season, Megson is aware that his team could still be overtaken.[LNB]"We're in the mix and my mate down at Stoke, Tony (Pulis), will think he's in the mix as well and they've got a couple more points than us, so you never know," said Megson on Sky Sports News.[LNB]Doubts"At the end of the season we might turn round and say 37 was more than enough, but I've got doubts about that.[LNB]"If we look back at this football club 12 months ago we had just lost 4-0 away to Aston Villa and everybody had us relegated and we were way adrift.[LNB]"We won three and drew two of the last five games, and we had three away from home as well, so it can be done.[LNB]"We've got to try and make sure that, if somebody does come up with that kind of run, we're on the same run as well."[LNB]Bolton welcome Aston Villa to the Reebok Stadium on Saturday and Megson is expecting a tough test, despite the visitors' run of 11 games without a win.[LNB]He added: "I don't think there's a good or bad time (to play Villa). They've got terrific players and a really strong squad.[LNB]"The Premier League being the way it is, it's very difficult and the fact that Villa aren't on the best run they've had so far this season, I don't think it makes a great deal of difference to us.[LNB]"They've still got some fantastic players in there, they strengthened in the January window to what was already a strong squad, so it will be a really difficult game for us."[LNB]
