The 27-year-old striker, who has four Portuguese caps, had also interested West Brom, but joined the Trotters until the end of the season from Benfica.[LNB]He has started three games so far and has been quick to praise his new team-mates after returning from a mid-winter training camp in Dubai.[LNB]"I've been over here two weeks now, but if I stop to think about it then it feels like I have been here for ages," Makukula told the club's official website. [LNB]"I don't want to speak about individual players helping me to settle in because Bolton are a big strong group and it is like one big happy family.[LNB]"The trip to Dubai highlighted the unity within the team and everybody made me feel welcome and went out of their way to talk to me. I'm grateful for that and now I want to repay them by giving as much as I can out on the pitch. [LNB]"The pace is much faster in England, but my new team-mates have helped me. [LNB]"I'm not looking at the timescale in which it will take to adjust to the Premier League, however I've been training well on a daily basis and hopefully I will be up to the top level as soon as possible."[LNB][LNB]
